Our journey unfolds with an ascent to the majestic Taklam La Pass (3,624m/11,923 ft), navigating through expansive plateaus and winding narrow stretches that offer mesmerizing vistas of Tilicho Peak, Yakawa Kang, and the imposing Damodar Danda. Descending gently, we arrive at the quaint village of Samar, where we ascend a trail leading above the village, eventually reaching a ridge before descending steeply towards a tranquil stream. Continuing on for another three hours, we find ourselves amidst the serene surroundings of Syanbochen, where we rejuvenate beside refreshing streams and under the shade of ancient juniper trees. These juniper trees hold cultural significance, as locals utilize their dried leaves as incense to invoke blessings for auspicious beginnings. Along the way, we pass by the renowned Ramchung Cave, adding a touch of mystique to our unforgettable journey.
