Located in the remote part of the Nepali Himalayas, the Tsum Valley Trek is one of the most unique treks in Nepal not only due to its beautiful landscape with its snow-capped mountains and lush forests of rhododendron trees but also its significance in Buddhist culture. The Tsum Valley Trek will mainly go through many Tibetan and Buddhist settlements where we will go through many Buddhist scriptures and stupas also known as chortens that show the cultural ties between Nepal and Buddhism. The trek will also feature three mountains’ ranges including the Boudha Himal, Shringi Himal and Ganesh Himal ranges. Although the terrain can be difficult at times, the Tsum Valley Trek is guaranteed to give you the best experience a trek in Nepal can. We will be travelling for a total of 16 days during this trek.

While tipping isn’t mandatory, it’s a way of expressing satisfaction with the services provided to you during your trip. Even if you’re not used to tipping, please note that it holds important value for those who serve you during your travels.
Throughout your trip, there will be multiple opportunities to tip local guides or drivers. You can choose to tip individually, or can choose to collectively tip the staff members. The suggested tip for drivers is USD 1 to 2 per person per day based on the service’s quality and duration. For porters during the trekking part of your trip, we would recommend to tip USD 4-6 by per person per day. For the assistant guide, we would recommend to tip USD 3-4 by per person per day.
At the end of each trip, if you believe your assigned guide during the trip has done an exceptional job, a tip would be appreciated. The amount is entirely up to you, but as a guideline, we would recommend that you tip USD 4-5 by per person per day.
Local Dress
In Asia, the dress code tends to be more conservative compared to that of Western countries. Therefore, when packing, it's advisable to choose loose, lightweight, and long clothing that will help you stay cool, especially in the hot and humid climate typical of Asian summers. When visiting predominantly Buddhist or Hindu, countries, it's important to dress respectfully and refrain from wearing very short shorts/skirts and singlets/tank tops, particularly when visiting temples, monasteries or other holy sites.
